SMDH begins introducing its services to the UK’s 4 nations

SMDH in the UK


THE SMART MANUFACTURING DATA HUB IS COMMITTED TO INTRODUCING ITS SERVICES TO A UK WIDE SME MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY AUDIENCE IN 2022 AND EARLY 2023, BEGINNING WITH ATTENDANCE AT 4 MAJOR EVENTS ACROSS THE UK NATIONS.

The SMDH team have already attended manufacturing events in Northern Ireland and Scotland and are set to attend Digital Manufacturing Week in Liverpool in November and Wales Tech Week in March 2023.

NORTHERN IRELAND

The team introduced the Smart Manufacturing Data Hub to the Manufacturing Taskforce of Mid and East Antrim Borough Council in the Ecos Centre in Ballymena in October 2022. The event was well attended by manufacturing business from the area, who participated in an SMDH workshop. The team introduced participants to how the SMDH can help them to harness their data from processes and the shopfloor and embrace the vision of the SMDH, which is sharing the value of UK manufacturing data across all 4 nations of the UK.

SCOTLAND

The SMDH team attended the SEC Glasgow for the Scotland Manufacturing & Supply Chain Conference & Exhibition in October, where they introduced SMDH to over 2000 delegates at the event.

At a very busy event, connections were made with manufacturing companies from across Scotland and the team reported that substantial potential has been identified for manufacturing business and the SMDH in Scotland.

ENGLAND

The SMDH team are set to attend the Smart Factory Expo at Digital Manufacturing Week in Liverpool on 16th and 17th November, where the SMDH stand will be part of “Innovation Alley ” as part of the Made Smarter Initiative exhibit.

5000 + manufacturing businesses are expected to attend the event and the team is looking forward to introducing SMDH to the audience there and to start building strong connections with manufacturing businesses from the area.

WALES

Wales Tech Week takes place 20-23rd March at the International Conference Centre in Newport and SMDH are anticipating introducing their services to the attendees there.

Visitor numbers are expected to be in the region of 4500 + and the SMDH team are looking forward to meeting manufacturing businesses from the area at the event and connecting with manufacturing SMEs that attend Wales Tech Week.

VIRTUAL EVENTS

There have also been several virtual events introducing SMDH to UK manufacturers. SME audiences have been able to join the first of many planned workshops held with partners D2N2 and KTN.
